As a child of the 70’s, I grew up at a time when anything seemed possible, and the internet was an idea. Without fear, I played in the forest alone, made potions and carved chalk with strangers at the seaside. Now, I am fast approaching family matriarch status and I reflect on life experience in my process of making, together with a good pinch of concern for the next generation. Where I found starfish and shells on the beach as a child, I now find plastic with my grandchildren.
